| Time |
50k Race starts promptly at 6:05 am . The 30k start time is 7:05am.
Cut-off time is 1:05 pm to finish the race with nutritional and medical support provided ... that is a total of 7 hours to finish the race.
We will be providing rides back to the finish line for those who have not finished by 1:05 pm. If you choose to finish after the 7 hour mark, you do so at your own risk. There will not be medical or nutritional support provided.

| Limited Registration |
The ultramarathon is capped at 350 runners. The 50k at 150 runners. The 30k is capped at 200 runners. Registration is available online at Active.com. The race registration closes on April 19th 5 days prior to the race. Alternatively, you can register by postal mail by downloading race registration form.

| Acceptance Letter |
Once you are registered you should receive an email confirmation from Active of your successful registration. If you register by postal mail you will receive an e-mail confirmation.

| Packet Pickup |
Packets can be picked up at the St. George Running Center located at 2736 E Red Cliff Dr, suite 2, St George UT. www.stgeorgeRunningCenter.com. Packets can be picked up from 4-7 pm on April 22nd. NO RACE DAY PICKUP.
Packets will not be available at the race start, please ensure you pickup your packet the night prior. Also, if you plan on running in two sets of shoes please leave your shoes you will run miles 12-31 in at St. George running Center when you pick up your packet. A bag will be provided so ensure you label it with your bib number. It is your responsibility to mark the bag clearly. We are not responsible for lost shoes. This is a courtesy to runners and shoe drop is done at your own risk (see Shoe Pickup below). |
| Course |
The 50 k race will start at SR-18 and Pinevaley Road intersection. It will cover 12 miles of beautiful trail and 19 miles of scenic pave roads. The 30 k will start west of Veyo Utah on the Gunlock Scenic Byway. Both races will rend at the Ivins Unity Park in downtown Ivins Utah.

| Temperature |
The race course temperature on April 11th in 2008 was 48° at 5am in Central ... and by 10am was 64° ... at 12 noon in Ivins it was 76°. Please dress accordingly and check the weather forecast prior to race day.

| Bus Transportation |
We are pleased to have bussing to the starting line provided by the Red Mtn Spa. 50k participants please be at the Unity Park in Ivins (finish line) no later than 5 am to allow time to bus to Central. This should enable 20 minutes for warm-up, hydration, void time (haha). 30 k runners, buses leave at 6:10 am for you folks, so please be on time. Thank you!!!!

| Time Limit |
We allow runners 7 hours of support to complete the 50 k Ultra marathon and a six hours to complete the 30 k event. At 1:05 pm the aid stations and police support will be pulled from the course. After the time limit, transportation will be available to take you to the finish area. If you choose not to accept the ride back to the finish area you will be on the course at your own risk.

We have negotiated reduced rates at Best Western in St. George at over 20% off regular rates. For the runners to receive this rate they simply need to call the hotel at 1-888-222-3946 and mention the Red Mountain 50k group rate. We have also negotiated a reduced rate of $68.00 per night at Comfort Suites in St. George. This rate is available for a non smoking king suite or two queen suite. | Vehicles |
No personal support vehicles, baby strollers, roller blades, bicycles, motorcycles will be allowed on the course.

| Road Closure |
The organizers have been working with UDOT (Utah Division of Transportation), the Washington County Sheriff's Department, and the Forest Service on road management. The course will be managed by local law enforcement. Escort vehicles will be available for heavy traffic. Runners will run on left side of road and should be watchful of traffic.

| Aid Stations and Porta-toilets |
Aid stations will be at the start, finish, at miles 3,6 [self-serve on first two tables] ,9,12,15,18,21,23,25,28,30. Porta-toilets will be available at the start, finish, and every 3 miles. (Note: Porta-toilets will be more limited during miles 1-12 on the dirt trail.) All aid stations will also have Melon or Strawberry Heed Electrolyte replacement drink (on the first tables), water (on the last tables), Vaseline, band-aides, and toilet paper. In the second half of the course, all aid stations will have fruit and some will have energy gel. Most stations will have Hammer Gel in various flavors. Also various food items will be dispersed thoughout the course, such as boiled and cubed potatoes, Coke, pretzels, potato chips, gummi bears, M&M's, hard candy, and Enduralytes by Hammer Nutrition.

| Runners Receive |
50k runners receive a short sleeve tech shirt, finisher's medallion, pre and post race nutrition and bragging rights that you have just ran one of the most scenic ultra marathons in the country.
30k runners receive a short sleeve tech shirt, pre and post race nutrition and bragging rights!!!!!!!

| Results |
Results will be calculated by official clock time and you will be given your results shortly after you finish. Your results will be posted in the Sports Section of the Spectrum on April 25th 2010 and will also be updated on our website within 24 hours post-race.

| Awards |
Trophies will be given to top Male and Female finishers. Also, Certificates good for Salomon Trail Shoes of choice. ALL finishers will receive finishers medals and the PURE ENVY of their peers.

| Shoe Pickup |
Those running the 50k ultra marathon may drop off and switch into road running shoes at mile 12. Leave your road shoes you wish to pickup when you pick up your race packet (see packet pickup above). Following the race, shoes can be picked up at the finish after 11am at the shoe pickup area near the finish.

| Clothing Drop Off |
Clothing drop at race start only. We will not be gleaning any clothing from the course, what you drop you will need to retrieve. Please leave your personal clothing in your packet pickup bag at race start. Clothing will be available after 11am at race finish.
