The course starts at junction in Central, Utah off of SR-18
and travels due West near an area locals call Red Butte. The
road/trail is rocky and a rugged journey crossing through the
hills laden with juniper trees. The trail meanders through the
wilderness while providing fresh air and views not common to
your average race. In time you run along a river bank and cottonwood
trees as you leave the Moody Wash wilderness area. Near the
end of Moody Wash, the trail ends at the pavement just below
Veyo. The remaining 19 miles are on pavement flanked with basalt
cliffs and Gunlock Resevoir. The road rolls along to the South
East and leads into the community of Ivins and the finish is
at Unity Park near the base of the majestic Red Mountain.
